The 2016 Business & Climate Summit will be held later this month, with 1000 global CEOs, investors and politicians gathering at the London’s iconic Guildhall, the home of the City of London, the world’s leading international financial centre.
The summit today announced some of the key speakers that will be attending the summit. They include: Christiana Figueres, UNFCCC Executive Secretary – in her last international speaking engagement in her current role; Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman & CEO, Total; Michel Madelain, Vice Chairman, Moody’s Investors Service; Gérard Mestrallet, Chairman, Paris Europlace, Chairman, ENGIE; Rachel Kyte, CEO, SE4ALL; Sir Roger Gifford, Chairman, City of London’s Green Finance Initiative; Roberto Azevêdo, Director-General, World Trade Organisation; Mahendra Singhi, Group CEO and Whole Time Director, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited; Jean-Dominique Senard, CEO, Michelin.
Taking place June 28 – 29, the Business & Climate Summit is now the leading international forum between COPs for businesses to come together with international policymakers in support of enhanced climate action. It will build on the success of last year’s inaugural Summit, widely seen as the key moment for mobilising the business community in the run-up to the historic Paris Agreement reached at COP21.
